Had a wonderful weekend here. It had free parking, walking proximity to the city and Kings Park to explore, sightsee and exercise. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We asked for a late check out at 12pm which was not a problem which enabled us to exercise in Kings Park, have a relaxed breakfast in Leederville then shower and leave. We got in Friday night and had a beautiful Italian meal at Julio’s which is the restaurant connected to the premises and next to the Federation pub facing Hay St. Saturday night we walked into the city an had dinner there. It was great to have the 10 min safe walk back to the hotel and then sleep in such peace and quiet. The room was immaculate, spacious, the bedding comfortable and there was quality tea and a coffee pod machine which was a bonus. We will return here in a heartbeat
We were celebrating my sons birthday and as part of his celibrations was to stay at the hotel for the weekend and was close to lots of facilities. The hotel was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. Both had a good time
Very excited to stay here, unfortunately left feeling unexcited. Location is not suitable for families, free parking is unsafe after dark & breakfast was dull. Rooms are nice & comfortable
Clean and comfortable room with modern amenities. Free self-parking is actually a five minutes' walk from the hotel location. Room should have come with bathroom slippers. Breakfast is basic continental option and quality of the food is good
We came just for the weekend to catch up with friends and go to the footy. It was perfectly located for all of this. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was clean and very comfortable. Only downside was the parking on weekdays provided was a 2min walk away which is not ideal with the current Perth weather! However luckily the free street parking on weekends worked well for us. Would happily stay again!!
I chosen this hotel after reading many reviews and I am not disappointed. Located on Hay Street with many eateries around, we have no problem finding for breakfast. The hotel look new. Room was spacious and clean. Complimentary parking provided by the hotel was within 5 mins walk. There were few lots just outside the hotel with free parking after 6pm to 7am. The staff we met were all very friendly. Overall, a pleasant stay at Sage
New hotel located on Hay street with spacious and clean rooms. Complimentary parking provided by hotel is a plus point as parking is relatively expensive in Perth CBD area. Overall, a very pleasant stay in SAGE
Good: The shower, the windows, the bed, the deco, the layout of the room, everything! Had a nice vibe too. Bad: The only thing I didn’t like is that i couldn’t get room service if I paid cash, because I still paid the same amount :(
Good: Great rooms and very comfortable. Bad: Noisy guests at 3-4 am both nights of my stay
Great hotel, ideal price. Friendly staff on 24hr desk, rooms clean & modern - coffee pod machine 😍 really quiet and restful night. Rooms not as big as pictures but still ideal. Not big enough for family so would need 2 rooms. However free parking is such a plus! Ideal for a night or two!
Hotel was lovely. Staff were friendly. Room was comfortable and exactly what we needed. Very convenient to everywhere. Lucky we were there on the weekend so could just use on street parking. We booked specifically for included parking as we hired a car.. and although only a 2min walk a block or so away, it would have been a bit annoying in bad weather to have had to have done that. It may have been included in the write up and I missed it! But that aside it was a lovely stay and we would happily stay again
Really quiet location, great service, food and amenities
Very welcoming, very convenient and very clean .. thank you.. we will stay again
Very comfy bed and pillows, helpful staff, good location. - No international TV channels
Good: Very clean, sophisticated and comfortable, lovely food, great location Bad: Felt like we were being pressured out of our room a little
Thank you guys for the warm welcome and an even warmer stay. I love your people and I love your hotel and rooms almost as much. I was having a tough time in my life at that particular moment in time and your staff and facilities made me forget my woes. Why, even the cleaning lady gave me a very welcoming smile as she boarded the lift next to me. Having Julios restaurant on the ground floor next to the lobby was a nice touch and bonus for my meals. Great location, FREE parking around the corner and fabulous bed for a well needed and quiet sleep. Thanks again, I'll be back again and most likely again
Lovely hotel and modern. Receptionist was lovely when checking in. Very clean. My room was very big with modern furniture. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was large. I would definitely return to the Sage
Good: Very comfy beds, great restaurant food, great location, great staff, great value Bad: Please give me more than two English Breakfast tea bags
The Sage is fantastic. Great service, pleasant staff, rooms modern and very well fitted out. Julio's is excellent. Attention to detail and classy. Perfect to have such a great eating and drinking option right on the door step. Love and Sage and have returned many times
Near New Hotel Built behind old hotel great environment & ambience Value for $ Room for my Van with large commercial trailer in side street overnight after office hours I regularly stay here whilst in perth
Convenient location, Excellent Dinning menu, clean, comfortable, compact room, handy parking. Close to hospitals, shopping, entertainment, I would recommend The Sage to my friends for a weekend getaway
We stayed for 10days with an infant. Check in was smooth, and our rooms were all ready. Quiet and baby-friendly hotel, they had a cot prepared in the room as requested during our booking. Room service was relatively fast if you need fresh towels or utensils. The hotel’s restaurant, Julio’s, served great italian food and one of the nicer coffees we’ve had in Perth. No swimming pool or fancy amenities, but they do have a small basic gym. And we always appreciate the free wifi wherever we are. Pleasant stay!
The rooms are a good size, bed is comfortable and bathroom was clean. The restaurant was good as well. The day we arrived we decided to stay in and eat in the hotel restaurant. Good Italian food, large portions which is great for sharing. The gym is quite small but expected but it did the job. However, the only downfall is the location. You can easily walk to the CBD however just keep in mind that there is nothing open and there really not much around. I would take the time to head to the CBD
Good: Comfort Bad: The hotel hallway was very cold, same with the room and seemed to take ages to warm the room up
Good: The Sage is fantastic. Staff very pleasant, smartly dressed and helpful. Room super excellent with many nice design features that one appreciates when frequently on trips away from home. Beds are excellent!! The hotel Julio's restaurant is fantastic. Beautifully renovated with old school charm with a polished refreshed modern design
Good: Great location
Good: The service at the front counter . Girls were lovely x Friendly Bad: The restaurant ! Prices are too expensive and we were far from happy with the food . The “piccolo” on the starters menu was overpriced at $26.00 and the pancetta was all fat- I would suggest you replace it with a different cured meat . We would not have ordered it if we had known . Our main meals were not up to scratch either . Let down . If we return we won’t be eating there again . Hotel room had no instant coffee
Good: Great price and location. Comfy bed and clean room. Great restaurant attached to the hotel that has terrific character and ambiance. Bad: Not much really, we got an upgrade but the air extraction in bathroom didn't appear to work as the room got fogged up
Hotel has been beautifully restored. Rooms are lovely and clean. Shower didnt drain well and when you flush the toilet it sounds like an aeroplane taking off but not a big issue. Breakfast at Julios was very nice also
was looking forward to staying at Sage we walked past the previous weekend , I loved our room it was in the older part but modern inside and very private our room location so we were impressed . loved the food we had before we went out for the night
Easy to get to the city $12 taxi Nice room, restaurant gorgeous
My daughter and I stayed one night and we found that the room was excellent, with a lot of space. It was very well presented. The receptionists were really friendly on check-in and on check out, she was a bit confused. We had a meal in Julio's and we could not fault the meal or the service
Location was great, ease of parking and taxis were at the ready for our evening adventures. The bed was extremely comfortable! Decor was modern with a rustic chic feel to the dining area. Would most definitely recommend this hotel for a short weekend stay in Perth
Good: The room was large The bed was very comfortable The staff were very friendly and happy Bad: The mirror in the bathroom fogged up
Had an amazing 2 night stay for work. Check in was fast, staff were super friendly. I was on 11th floor looking straight at the CBD, which was beautiful. This is my new favourite place to stay for all Perth trips now
Fabulous hotel, stayed there for business a couple of times now & never fails to meet expectatons, it is centrally located, incorporates gorgeous Perth heritage with the new thus just has a point of difference to your standard boring multi-storied hotel. Restaurant is excellent!
Lovely clean, quiet room. Staff were helpful. Check in and out was super fast. Close to Subiaco and Perth CBD. Easy parking at weekends on quiet tree lined West Perth side street. Julios Restaurant was amazing, highly recommended!
great location and ambience. Rooms were very roomy and well stocked. It would be nice if it had a pool. Wasn't clear that the water was complementary or not. TV was in the wrong place though. Thought they might have had Foxtel
I have stayed at the Sage, West Perth 3-4 times over the last year for business and will continue to do so as the location is less than 10 minutes to my office & I have not had a bad experience there. The staff are always friendly and approachable and the rooms are nice with comfy beds - I always enjoy my stay. I have not eaten in the hotel but have had drinks in the bar which is a nice relaxed setting. There are a number of bars / restaurants / cafes close by but generally only open during the working week
We just stayed one night at Sage Hotel West Perth, after a long and tiring flight from Europe. Due to an unfortunate change in the flight schedule of Qantas we could only enjoy 10 hours of our stopover in Perth. Not long, but long enough to be able to determine that the hotel is OK. Sage West is located in a quiet part of the city. The new hotel is interwoven with an old building in which the restaurant is located. Unfortunately, the restaurant was fully booked so that we had to look for another restaurant immediately after our arrival. Fortunately, we found an acceptable alternative just a stone’s throw away. We had a standard room on the 11th floor, with a view over the city. The room was more than spacious enough and had an espresso machine, a minibar and an iron and ironing board. A bottle of water was also included. The bathroom was modern and had a walk-in shower. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were present and were of good quality. The flat screen was of more than average size for a standard room and had a large number of TV channels. However, the bed was the most charming to me. It was very good and thanks to the fresh and clean sheets we slept wonderfully. As mentioned, due to a late change in the flight schedule, we had to leave very early so that we could not make use of the complimentary breakfast. At check-in, however, the reception clerk suggested to provide us a breakfast package by 4 am, to ensure that we would be awakened in time and to take care that a taxi would be waiting for us. And so it happened: at half past three we were called, at four o'clock we were at the reception with our breakfast package in our hands and a moment later the taxi arrived. I doubted whether I would give three or four stars: the hotel is good, but it is not that exceptional either. However, the bed, but especially the friendly service, tilted the balance to the right side
Good: Great location, lovely room, friendly staff, all good
We spent 1 night here. The hotel is clean, comfy and modern. The neighborhood is very quiet, especially at night. The wifi worked well, beds were good too. Not many dining choices within walking distance though. Also, the 'free' parking is in a garage several blocks away, requiring validation
Good: The bed was very comfortable , king size with quality linen and pillows . On site Italian restaurant is very good . Bad: I would prefer hotter water in the shower
Great in house service and Italian restaurant on site for convenience. Awesome Comfy bed perfect for long stays as we had 9 nights here. Breakfast is substantial with choice of buffet or continental. Car parking was inclusive of our stay which is off site and only a short 2 minute walk in a safe Wilson Carpark, always remember to get your ticket validated from reception before walking to Carpark though. A pharmacy close by should you need as my partner had the flu our entire stay. No balcony or window for fresh air, not so great when you are sick. Therefore smoking is offsite and no covered close by area either. Recommend asking for a lower level floor should you have a disability/medical condition or pregnant, in case a fire alarm goes off (as in our case) 9 flights of stairs in the early hours of the morning is not ideal. On this note DO NOT iron/steam your clothes directly under the smoke alarm...Thanks to the business man that did! Did I mention Comfy Bed!!!
Arrived to Hotel & warmly welcomed by staff. Very Busy Atmosphere as it was a Friday evening & clearly all the city locals go here for Knockoffs at the end of the week which is vibrant. Hosting an onsite restaurant named Julio's I took full advantage as I am pregnant & was exhausted from flight/travelling deciding to ordered room service in. This was quick however they had mucked up my order, our waitress was very apologetic & quickly arranged for correct order to be delivered at no extra charge and efficiently, even offering the meal we did not order at no extra charge (we chose not to take her up on the offer as lovely as it was). My partner ordered another night and he advises people not to get the beef ravioli only 5 small pieces was told it was very filling it was not. Also, stay away from the Gelato it is packaged not house made expensive for the amount you get. We had 9 nights all up and got this for a cheaper price than booking directly (as I called to get a quote with them at a higher price than I found online) so would highly recommend looking around on websites such as Agoda, Tripadvisor, Trivago, Wotif etc for the best deals available between them all. We were able to get our parking inclusive of our total room price which was great however off site. Not to worry though as it is only a short 2 minute walk & in a secure Wilson Car park. Remember to have your ticket validated at reception of hotel before walking to your car. Location is in West Perth & Hay street is a ONE WAY street. A few close fast food venues including restaurants & bars, a pharmacy near by in walking distance. Close to Harbour Town (also known by another name I think Watertown..) a discount outlet shopping centre. Close ish to North Bridge via taxi/uber if night life is what you are after. Would recommend for great service and tasty dinner the Mayfair Pub, very upper class in my view for a pub & only a few meters from the parking I mentioned. Room was cleaned daily along with mini bar filled daily, so be ready to vacate by 10 AM as they are always on time for their cleaning duties. Be mindful the mini bar fridge literally has no space for additional food storage. The rooms do not have balconies and smoking is out on the street ONLY, depending on weather it has no sheltered area. If you love fresh air you would be better of booking else where as there is no window access. Also, warning for elderly, disabled/injuries, medical conditions etc. to ask for the first level when booking. As we had a fire alarm at 5 am one morning & raced down 9 flights of stairs causing my blood pressure to go crazy forcing me to lie down on the street (due to pregnancy). On this note DO NOT iron your clothes directly under the smoke detector!!! Many thanks to that special business man who was going for a steamed look.... Buffet breakfast served daily at $20 per person or continental option available for cheaper also. No in house entertainment can be purchased only supply TV, so if you have a HDMI cord handy along with Hard Drive of movies or shows this would be advised especially if you have children. Unfortunately my partner was sick with the FLU the entire time which is why he was able to find this out. Room had a safe in it for your valuables. The building had a mix of heritage and new architecture which was very appealing to the eye. Would stay again, as the bed was fantastic!!!!
The location of the hotel is in West Perth, not far away from the hustle and bustle of the city if you drive. The best part of staying in this hotel is the free parking that comes with the booking. The parking lot is just a couple of blocks away, roughly 3-4 mins walk. The public parking lots outside the hotel are free after 6pm/before 8am and on weekends, so it's quite convenient as well. The room is clean with decent amenities like a small gym. The only comment that we have is that we don't always see the staff at the front desk, perhaps they were in the office located behind the desk. This makes it seems weird (like lack of hospitality and human touch) as most of the hotels we stayed are manned 24/7. There was a fire alarm which went off at 6am but it turned out to be a false one which the hotel had no control over. I thought the incident could have been handled better as we did not hear any evacuation message over the PA system & there were no fire wardens guiding/updating guests
We stayed two nights and absolutely loved our stay, would love to stay again. The free cat bus stop was on the next corner so travel into and around the city was easy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable. Being sports lovers we were disappointed there was no Foxtel, but we survived!
Accommodation was booked on my way to the hotel. I was unsure as I’d never heard of Sage Hotel. The quality and fit out are very pleasing. Staff are well presented - location is spot on for easy access to business clients
Excellent hotel. Great location. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Helpful reception staff. The restaurant was also excellent and very accommodating. Will definitely stay here again
Good: The excellent and friendly manner of the receptionist named Lucy. Bad: Coffee machine in room malfunctioning but minor problem
Conveniently located near harbourtown shopping centre & close to Perty city. Very comfortable beds. They have lovely staff and clean rooms. Restaurant has lovely food for adults however not so much for children. Would recommend for couples or business stays
Like the quiet environment and hotel provides almost everything - 24 hours gym, restaurant and bar - delicious food and welcoming drink, free bicycles for guests to ride and explore the vicinity. Cosy room and wonderful stay!
Very enjoyable with professional staff,I would totally recommend
Great location and free parking just a stone throw away. Everything is conveniently located. Friendly staff including the restaurant are very well trained and polite. Like it very much. Surrounding of hotel also found good cafe for breakfast
Good: The restaurant was great. Bad: -
Good: the view outside my window was amazing and the sunrise was superb, once i worked out how to turn the heater on my room was cosy and warm. the sheets and bedding were very comfortable. Bad: There was hair on the shower wall and floor, even though the shower and screen did appear to have been wiped i would have expected the hair to have been noticed and removed
Good: efficient and helpful staff, spotless comfortable room, warm in winter, quiet. Bad: More information about weekday parking arrangements would be helpful. Location Tip: Quiet location but would be easy access to Perth City/Subiaco/Kings Park/some hospitals/easy drive to airport. Very convenient and easy access in quiet location. Side road parking only free on weekend however. Otherwise parking is apparently available at Wilson Parking but not sure how that is arranged
Good: Wonderfully comfortable bed, clean modern facilities. Bad: No suitcase stand... had to unpack on floor. The room was smallish... fine for overnight though
Good: Convenient location, lovely meals in the restaurant and comfortable rooms
Sage is a fabulous Hotel situated in a quiet area in West Perth. The Staff are helpful and friendly The Hotel has a great atmosphere with a bar and restaurant with great food. The rooms are modern, clean with everything that you need. The King size bed was amazing very comfortable
Very nice hotel and servic was very good .. spotless room nice comfortable bed modern bathrooms again spotless very good value will go again. The breckfast was also very good value. I like more than one coffee so to have as much as you like is a bonus for me Good job sage
Good: Loved everything. The location, bed was super comfy, the Italian restaurant was to die for. Staff were lovely will stay again . Bad: Nothing
Nice clean modern hotel. Close to free bus shuttle to downtown. Quiet residential area. Would stay again for sure!
Hotel is nicely located, with free sheltered parking which is located nearby especially for tourists who are driving on their own
Was really happy with finding the Sage for a 5 nights stay as had no prior experience staying in Perth. Room we had was oddly shaped, had a very long window frontage, with the wardrobe being squeeze to a tiny corridor to one end pf the window frontage. That was the only grouse i had as the room was clean, bed comfortable, with a modern bathroom. Service was friendly - check in and out took less than 5 minutes each way. They have a onsite restaurant called Julio’s - food was great, well balanced between being modern and homely italian. They had this hand made seafood pasta dish that was so good we had it again the following night. Wine list was short but had some value for money bottles on it. The offsite parking is about 5-7 minutes walk away, but you can always find parking on the street between 6pm to 8am the next morning for free. This extends for the whole day on weekends and public holidays
Pros: great free breakfast (loved the blueberry muffins!), modern furnishing, free parking at a complex nearby, quiet, friendly staff. Cons: air conditioning way too strong in the common areas, bed was uncomfortable and I didn't sleep well (but this could be subjective). Very good value for money for Perth
Good: Covenient, good facilities helpful staff. goodrestuarant Julios adjacent. Breakfast fair
Good: Breakfast was just ok Bad: Breakfast
This was a lovely hotel; very comfortable, clean, great food, quick room service and prices for room service and mini bar were reasonable. I was surprised and disappointed with the lack of a movie channel! I was really looking forward to some down time and just watching some movies, but there was nothing, only regular free to air TV. But that was my only complaint, it is otherwise very lovely. I wouldn't stay here again though because it was a bit far away from anything. The free CAT service is nearby but there wasn't much just to walk to
Had a great few nights at the Sage, large clean rooms, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. It is a bit far outside of where most of the attractions are. We enjoy walking, but if you don’t there really isn’t much around
I got to stay overnight here on a quick business trip. The room was beautiful with an amazing view. All the mod cons were in the room and the realistically priced mini bar and coffee machine were welcome additions. I had room service which was great and followed it the next day with brekky in the restaurant. Cant say the lads on breakfast were super interested, noting explained and most of the stuff while descent quality was luke warm. No offer of a made to order coffee or little interest shown which isnt a reflection of any of the rest of my experience so maybe they were having an off day. I would stay again but will be going out for breakfast. Great location!
I enjoyed my stay and the room was fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the view from the window was unbelievable. The room was clean and well presented with everything laid out well. I will be staying again
Really different being integrated with an old character building - quite stunning reception area. walked into Subiaco for dinner - straight down hay st. I had accidentally booked a twin share room and the reception were very accommodating, swapping me to a double
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is conveniently located close to WALGA where I needed to be. It was quiet and staff were extremely friendly. Great gym facilities which allowed me to still do my daily run. Food from the restaurant was divine and would definitely recommend you have a meal from them. Room was small, but more than adequate for my needs
Good: Loved the coffee capsules available in my room. Welcome difference from the usual sachet of instant coffee. Bad: I didn't look for anything that wasn't already there so no negatives
Good: the beds were super comfy
Sage is a quality hotel, fresh, clean and new. Always excellent prices and the staff are amazing and go out of their way to help with anything. I stay in Perth 3-6 times a year and it is always at Sage, once was for a week following surgery as I couldn’t travel home and it was great
Good: Bed was comfy Bad: It was a little further from the city than I thought
Good: The rooms are modern and well fitted. The bed was very comfortable
Good: Great location, very comfortable and reasonable priced, helpfull staff Bad: Coffee machine in the restaurant, preferably a staff made and better quality unit
Really good, late check-in, easy to get room service and food better than expected. Large and spacious room with comfortable bed and quality linen. Great position in West Perth with easy access to city, Fremantle and south west
This hotel is a very pleasant hotel with all amenities required and is very quiet as well . The rooms are clean and well appointed , the Wi-Fi is a reasonable speed. Breakfast was very good as well. It is definitely value for money
Pleasant stay at this hotel in a larger corner room. Facilities were good and location is near to both the Red and Yellow Cat (free bus) services that enable quick movement around Perth metro area from early morning to early evenings each day
Lovely hotel clean and new. Staff were excellent. Only stayed one night and for our purpose it was the hotel of choice. Not much to do at that end of Perth. The breakfast was disappointing. There was also no other breakfast options in the vicinity
Another great stay at this great West Perth Hotel. Excellent staff, great food and spacious rooms. Borrow the bikes. Get up to Kings Park and escape to the beach and listen to the roar of the Indian Ocean. All within easy reach. City business area very close too. And 5 mins walk to the railway station which takes you Fremantle for a great day out. A place I always feel very welcome. Keep it up Sage
My husband and I spent 3 nights at Sage Hotel, West Perth. We visited places in the city that many people probably don't. And loved it. Although the hotel is a little out of the way, the free CAT buses are great and got us most places we wanted to go. And it was very quiet at that end of town. Our room was comfortable, and apart from no exhaust fan in the bathroom, it had everything we needed. Maybe a DVD player or Foxtel, but definitely not a deal breaker! We had 2 dinners at Julio's - the restaurant there, and we enjoyed it both times. Friendly, helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again
Nice and quiet location, great staff, great room - very clean, tidy, and modern. The food for both breakfast and dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff very attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend
Good: Location was perfect, staff friendly and helpful, food from restaurant was delicious! Bad: Honestly, you have to be very picky if find anything wrong with this hotel
Good location, explore so you can find the good bits Free cat bus close Lovely well appointed rooms Good bathrooms Nice restaurant Parking is ok - would prefer on site But large car park short walk away
Good location , clean and nice hotel. Walking distance to the Saturday subi farmers market
Good service overall. Cleanliness and provision of toiletries, towels, etc was insistent. Repeatedly, almost every day, had to request provision of missing items. Problems usually addressed quickly but repeated reoccurences were tiresome
Enjoyed our stay at the Sage Hotel, very convenient location, handy to Red Cat bus service, plenty of cafe's, bars and restaurants nearby. Only black mark is did not get promised free car parking. Had ticket validated but was still charged for parking
Good: Everything was great Bad: Nothing
We had a nice and relaxing stay! We were pleasantly surprised when we given a free upgrade to a bigger room! The room was fresh, new, clean and spacious! The bed was comfortable and we slept well as it was nice and quiet. The hotel location is great as there’s cafes within walking distance and Kings Park isn’t too far away. Nice and friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel! :)
Nice clean hotel. Would like plate for toast with in room breakfast. Also received marmalade rather than apricot jam - not a big deal but lack of attention to detail?
Love the location with free private parking very much. Very convenient as its surrounding has cafe, restaurants, grocery stores and pharmacy. Overall, everything is good. Having to say that, the house keeping service has room for improvement. The toilet bowl is not cleaned thoroughly and the tissues is not refilled
Good: Attentive staff
This hotel is prestige value for money. I stayed the night with my Wife in the city whilst attending Regal Theatre event. Close enough to walk and room included breakfast and parking. The hotel is clean and everything you would ever need without being overly flamboyant or fake
