Great location and friendly staff. A few downsides: one cup for a room that sleeps five; phone did not work. You had to leave it in the cradle to make a call. There appeared to be dry vomit (or maybe something else) on the wall opposite the toilet. Told staff on checkout and received an apology and that was all. Hopefully these will be addressed for the next couple or family who stay there
Modern clean comfy bed. Great price. Location fantastic. Best hotel bed I have ever slept in. Very hip place. Looks exactly like the pictures. Handy restaurant bar coffee shop below. Secure parking for a fee
Good comfortable place to stay. Great location on a good street with lots of restaurants and shops. Fantastic bar adjacent to the hotel. Easy access to surrounding suburbs and a short walk to the city. Suits our needs
A quick night away was what we needed and Sage delivered! With the best nights' sleep in a long time (comfy bed, perfect pillows and a super dark and quiet room) it was delightful. Great location for a stroll along James Street and breakfast nearby
Good: the bed was comfortable Bad: the room was very noisy, could hear everything in the corridors, could hear stuff from next door rooms. also there was no carparking available after we were told specifically that we would have a car park in the building, we were very not very happy about having to walk blocks to get to our hotel;
Close to entertainment prescinct with pub and numerous good restaurants downstairs. Room was clean and quiet. Perfect spot for a good night out
The Sage Hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean, fresh and the beds are super confortable. Would definitely recommend this Hotel and will be returning in the future when I stay in Brisbane
Room was very clean and well laid out. Amenities are excellent. Great location. Quiet. Comfortable bed and a good choice of pillows. Movie choices are broadly ranged. Well done. It will be a pleasure to stay again
Good: Gorgeous, clean, modern Hotel. Incredible vertical gardens & delicious coffee on ground floor! Super convenient area, café next door & in the heart of James Street
Good: Best location- shopping is amazing as are the restaurants and bars. Although it’s close to everything, it’s very quiet, no street noise. We have stayed several times and will be back
Good: Great value for money and modern place to stay Bad: No external HDMI connection for the tv
Great location, super clean and modern rooms. Great accommodation when attending shows at Power House. They even have a complimentary service to drive us to our event at the Power HouseI will come back again definetly
great location , very stylish . very comfortable bed and heavy drapes to block out the sun , however the sunlight came thru the bathroom window very brightly and woke us up . But would def stay there again
Good: Great location, clean and quiet Bad: N/a
The hotel is clean and good value for a stay. Rooms are petite, but comfortable. While the check in process was fairly painless, the room service experience needs to be taken up a notch. We were almost double charged for a room service order, and the $5 delivery fee for room service is a bit rich
Great modern hotel in top location. Would highly recommend
Good: Bed, location, so clean - just fantastic for a business trip!! Bad: On site gym would be great BUT it's only around the corner :)
Good: COFFEE MACHINE IN ROOM Bad: NO TOASTER IN ROOM
Good: Reception is good. Kate is very nice and helpful
Good: Excellent little hotel. Very convenient in many ways. A great city stay. Bad: Nil
Good: Central location, comfy bed, value for money Bad: Nothing
Good: The free transport service within 5km was great. Staff very helpful and pleasant
Great hotel in the Valley. Perfect location for us as we were visiting our son who works on James street and lives nearby. Parking available, easy check in and out. Very comfortable bed, pillows ok, my husband loved them, me not so much. My only criticism is that there was no spate toilet roll
Due to a delay in my international flight I missed my connection so I had to stay in Brisbane at the Sage Hotel, The hotel was modern, state of the art, beautiful décor, comfortable and such a luxury. I would definitely stay there again
The hotel rooms are well appointment and furnished nicely. The staff were just professional and didn't make an effort to interact. The room was nice, however if I had been warned I would begetting a room that faced a brick wall I wouldn't have stay there. I maybe would stay there again but only if I had a room with a view
Good: Interior styling and brilliant location Bad: Got an answering machine a couple of times when I tried to contact the hotel
Perfect if you need to stay in Fortitude Valley, good value for money, friendly staff and good facilities. Nearby to restaurants, bars and shopping. Off street parking or all day parking on side streets
Pared back, minimalist rooms but comfortable. The bathrooms are elegantly styled but the fittings are poorly placed with the glass shelf in the shower recess installed so close to the shower the shower head could not be adjusted properly. And the hooks for towels or robes are above 2 meters high on the walls. Why?
Room was dark, air con was cold and perfect, room is very well presented and suited to the business traveller. Great big shower, room for your clothes and shoes. Room was very quiet, no slamming doors or voices in the corridor. Easy access to lifts
A Beautiful property to stay at with lovely spacious rooms equipped with everything we needed. Great foodd, beer and service underneath at Tipplers Tap. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location. Would recommend staying here
Great place for being central to the business hub. Close to other restaurants and cafe's. Would recommend to other personal for city center location as in walking distance and cab drop off to most city business centers
Good: Great location, close to shops and restaurants and nice size and clean rooms
Good: The beds
Good: The property was lovely everything was great Bad: Liked it all
Great value stay, in an ideal location. Close to cafe/restaurants.Clean modern room, comfortable beds, all in walking to everything in Fortitude Valley. Highly recommended and would stay here again. :)
Sage Hotel Tenerife in Brisbane is like a New York Experience by the well designed boutique rooms and gourmet mini bar and complementary Nespresso Coffee Machine, Luxury Soft Sheets and elegant black out curtains for a sounds night sleep
Very clean well presented rooms. Great for Business or couples. Rooms were smaller than what I was expecting yet had everything I needed.Very enjoyable stay for Business and would choose again next time in Brisabane
Good: Bed was very comfortable and toiletries were good quality. TV was massive (bit too big for the room size) Bad: No pool, gym or leisure areas
Clean, cosy, beautifully maintained and furnished. Such a great location. Value for money. Would recommend and come back again
This is the second time we’ve stayed The Sage. We had a great night. The room was beautiful and the location is great, right in the heart of Fortitude Valley. There are lots of excellent restaurants and shops on the doorstep. We’ll be back
Good: Location, cleanliness and friendly helpful staff. Extremely convenient having a courtesy car!
Good: The great fragrant when entering the floor through the elevators as well as entering the room. Room was great. The customer service provided was great! We got complimentary breakfast, which could be used at the cafe next door & bottomless coffee! Even though the chauffeur service was being used. It was great to know that was a choice. The bed was comfortable and made it really hard to get out of it. We asked for a wake up call since we had an early flight the next and to the hour rang with the most politest voice. Bad: The only thing would be how heavy the door is to open
Good: We loved everything! The bathrooms are beautiful. The bed was comfortable, we had a great view. Bad: We found that the air conditioner was a little weird. All of our room that we had booked complained about it being hot in the rooms
Good: Super comfy bed and pillows. Great location. Nice and quiet. Would stay here again forsure. Bad: Work station is a little small
The hotel was great, the service was great, the room was great, the bed was amazing, the location was awesome! Cannot wait to book here again. Will definitely be booking here everytime we visit Brisbane
Perfect service, room was super comfy, in a great location central to things. We were not there much but is was definitely worth the stay. We had a mix up with the original hotel we stayed at and we booked our room last minute, Adrian tried as much as he could to accommodate us even gave us a co0mplimentary breakfast voucher for our trouble
Good: They were pretty great when we got there, we had just gone to our original hotel only to find out without authority our room had been cancelled. Even though there was not much Sage staff could do they gave us a free breakfast to help us out a little. It’s the little things I suppose Bad: N/A
Good: The room was clean, tidy, comfy bed and fabulous shower. Bad: The door was very heavy to open and close
Bad: No smoking area on site , $25 per day for parking
Good: Love the room, bed was comfy, close to city and staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay again and have recommended to others. Bad: Could not fault my stay at all
Top floor room had nice views and location on James street is ideal!
Great location in Fortitude Valley, restaurants and shops on the same road. Really nice room, clean, tidy, nice bedroom and bathroom, very quiet, friendly staff, all round highly recommend. I stayed for 3 nights and could easily have stayed more. Really appreciated the quiet room and good quality amenities
Great little hotel with nice rooms, comfortable beds, efficient check-in / check-out and free wifi. The desk may be a little small if you're staying for business. Surprisingly good-sized bathroom, though. Loved having a Nespresso machine in the room too!
Fantastic value for money. Modern, clean affordable facilities, close to everything. Access to cafes, shops was easy. Very comfortable bed, Loved it! Nothing was too much trouble from staff. Would stay again
Good: Fantastic bed and linen. So comfy Bad: No parking
Well appointed hotel. Nice furnishings and comfy bed! Front desk service could have been better however nothing to put me off returning
Great hotel in a fantastic location
Absolutely would recommend Sage, had a last minute booking which I was able to get into as soon as I arrived. Reception staff are great, rooms are lovely & would happily recommend to family and friends
I stayed at the Sage for business and found the rooms to be really comfortable and fitted out with everything that I needed. The bed was really comfortable and the fridge was well stocked. Great location
Good: The room was really comfortable and nice for the price
Good: Location. In heart of trendy part of Brisbane. Great eating, drinking & shopping
I come from Taiwan, it’s my first time visit Australia. Thanks for the very good experience for me, we have a business meeting at QA hotel, when I finish the business event, I can quickly get a fully rest in the Sage hotel. Even I want buy something, the location is pretty good! I’m also very appropriate staff service attitude, let me feel free to enjoy the biz trip! The room is very new and clean. Everything is good! Thanks~I’m looking forward stay your hotel again
Very comfortable and pleasant stay. The Sage Hotel was within walking distance of venues we attended. James Street in Fortitude Valley Brisbane, is a very appealing location with many wonderful restaurants, hotels and shops
Good location, easy to find and close to cafes and restaurants. Very clean room and helpful staff. Bed very comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Would definitely stay here again. Very quite but we did ask for a room away from the lifts
Good: The staff were so nice! Bad: Not a fan of memory foam pillows. Didn’t realise you could change the pillows until last night there. Also the no-door on the showers makes the shower so cold
Good: Location, cleanliness Bad: A view next time would be nice
Good: Convenient location to James Street shops and eateries. Clean, modern hotel that met our expectations. The included breakfast was any menu item and coffee from the adjoining cafe, and this was very good. Bad: The lack of included parking is disappointing, however we did find free street parking nearby
Great location, on James St, for restaurants with lots of places to drink and relax. The bed is one of the most comfortable for hotels of the same standard. Access to one of the best gyms in Brisbane is a major plus. The breakfast next door is exactly what you need to start the day: great coffee and healthy (tasty) breakfast options. The only part they can make us guests feel even more special is to wave the $25 overnight parking fee. The reception staff, as part of the welcome script, should also ask if guests have a car and explain what are the charges. I will definitely come back and happy to recommend Sage Hotel James St
Room organized through work for a business function. Great rooms, comfortable and modern with friendly professional staff. Close to cafes, restaurants and bars so never short of something to do. Look forward to staying again
Excellent. Quality fittings, very clean, lots of great eat options nearby, uber 2 min. Will definitely use often when in BNE
Good: Excellent choice for a night out in the Valley. Far enough out of the hustle to be quiet, but surrounded by an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and cafes. Nice walk along the river to Brisbane Powerhouse and New Farm Park. Little bar next door was a good place to chill. Location was just perfect for us. Room (superior queen) was nicely laid out and very comfortable. Parking under hotel ($25) was very convenient, but I'd recommend checking in early to get a spot - there aren't very many. Bad: Shower door had no lip so water flooded out into bathroom. Maybe because it's so new, this will be attended to . . .?
Lovely rooms very tidy. Good size bathroom and shower. Great location in trendy part of Brisbane. Sad that they didn't have room for a pool, only offer a pass to the local pool at Fortitude Valley :-(
Good: Bathroom night light and overall design was great
Good: Loved the hotel. Very quiet rooms, excellent location, really friendly staff Bad: Room air conditioning could have been warmer
We will return to this new and very clean quiet comfortable modern hotel A bonus is the breakfast lunch dinner bar ne t door Tipplers Tap serving a brilliant menus and local Newstead brews Best location
I've literally stayed in over a hundred hotels and suites during my career and because of its presentation, comfort, staff and location this is my all time favourite hotel for work. It's the little details in service that makes all the difference
Great place to stay - walking distance to everything. The proximity to excellent restaurants and shops was very convenient. Stunning city views and lovely glimpses of the Storey Bridge. The staff were very congenial- organised taxis and looked after us well
We had a great 2 days stay in the hotel. Location was just a really short drive from city center. Room was relatively spacious and clean. Love the decor and the amenities. The hotel has an underground car park but there is a limited number of lots. The only gripe is having to pay $25 per night for parking
Good: The room and building were clean and location was awsome. Need to plug the excellent coffee at Tippler's Tap next door. The staff were great and the room was what we expected. Had a great stay. Bad: We arrived with a hire car and the underground carparking was converted to paid parking and was full at the beginning of the long weekend. Not so much of a problem the rest of our week but it seemed to be a brisbane wide problem!
Into Brisbane very early for an event Kate at the Sage inn james was wonderful in making me welcome and allowing me to take a room early. Great little hotel in a great part of town. Close to nice bars, chauffeured car is available and the staff are very friendly. Have a drink at Tipplers next door!
Good: Great location, clean, today and function with a great balcony and view of the city. Bad: The gym is 650 m away from the hotel, so not practical for those in a hurry but its a great gym so worth it if you have time. Like most hotels, the showers are not practical!
Good: Perfect little overnighter or short stay in the fantastic James St precinct. Beautiful, modern fitout, showcasing local brands like Dinosaur Designs and Newstead Brewery, and a huge outdoor courtyard that opens up the space. Bad: Not a bad thing to say about the place!
Good: Location is excellent, staff friendly, room is very accommodating. Bad: N/A
Good: The beds are the best. Bad: Having to pay for parking
Good: Bottle shop attached! Bad: Heating - our room was set to 30 degrees and we couldn't change it
Good: Very clean Bad: Wasn't a view but that's ok
Fantastic little overnighter with extremely modern finishes and a huge outdoor balcony/courtyard for a very affordable price. Check in and check out were a breeze and the space was surprisingly quiet, given how central it is to the amazing James St precinct. This will be my go-to Brisbane hotel moving forward. Can’t wait for my next stay!
I’m very fussy about spotless bathrooms, comfy beds and clean floors. This hotel tucked all those boxes. I will definitely stay here again. Location excellent, plenty of restaurants nearby and not too far from CBD
We had a very nice experience at Sage. Staff were extremely friendly. We have stayed at many hotels with a higher price tag in the area and they have not been as clean or as well presented as this one
Great location for James St precinct clean and comfortable. Great for a weekedn in Brisbane
Great facility in a very central location in the heart of Fortitude Valley. Rooms were light ,bright and extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. I didn't need much service but checkin and checkout was smooth and easy
Good: Pillows and doona to die for. Very spacious for just myself. Love a mini bar. Bad: For my purposes I couldn't fault it
The rooms are well thougbt out with everything you need for a good night's rest. Quiet and comfortable. Coffee machine and delicious teas. They offer a packed breakfast in the mini bar. Bathroom is spacious . Loved my stay
i was there for one night only for business but really loved this place. The exterior is gorgeous, with hanging gardens spilling over each balcony level. James St is super cool, with fashion, cafes, bars etc - but without the loudness or crazy energy of nearby Anne/Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley. The staff were super helpful and professional. The room, although a bit on the small side with a view onto a wall and garden, was top notch. It came with an iron, ironing board, blowdryer, coffee machine with a few free pods, big bathroom and huge shower. i had a very comfortable stay and will definitely stay there again
Good: I enjoyed my short stay I was disappointed I was unable to extend the next morning but I left it to late. Overall would definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends and I'm sure I will stay there one day in the future. Bad: Nothing at all that I could fault
Good: Room was large and well presented Bad: Nothing
they stay was good; pleasant and staff friendly. MY only disappointment was no cutlery/plates in the room or possibly a microwave for longer stays. And also being told there was a gym at the hotle only to find it was a pass to a gym down the road., which I had already worked to & from work
Good: It was very clean and the staff were very helpful! The proximity to everything in that area was awesome, and it is always great to have 24 hour reception. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again
Fantastic location close to many cafes and shopping. Very clean rooms, enough room for a portacot, and was definitely impressed at the price. Parking was handy too but found it got full on the saturday. Will be back next time we visit Brissie for sure!
Location is awesomeBasic facilities but perfect location Clean, new and funky Great cafes and restaurants nearby Good vibe, parking available, staff efficient and friendly In short - a winner, keep it a secret
